The Depth Psychotherapy Network is currently establishing a Board of Editors prior to accepting submissions for the site. If you are interested in being on the board of editors, please Email us. Please tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your interest in being involved with the Depth Psychotherapy Network. If you have not been previously published, we encourage you to attach a writing sample. Please also include a copy of your CV and specify which role or roles you are interested in being considered for. There are four potential roles you could apply for:
1) Managing Editor: This would involve helping determine the general direction of the site, how to promote the site, etc. It would also involve reviewing/editing submissions to the site.
2) Section Editor: Managing Editors will oversee particular content areas. For example, Christopher Grimes is overseeing Marriage & Family Depth Psychotherapies and Glen Moriarty is overseeing Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapies. These editors would generally review all submissions that fall under this category (along with one other person, general all submissions are reviewed by at least two editors). It is also hoped that they would contribute a front page for consumers and students about this approach. There is a listing of the Content areas currently established, but more may be added. You can view which Section Editor positions are currently open at the Site Editorial and Management Board page.
3) General Editor: This would involve helping with the reviewing/edition process of submissions to the site.
4) General Contributor: This would just be contributing to web pages or articles to the site. They would go through the review process.
Be aware of the expected time commitments if you choose to apply. It is hoped that none of these roles would require more than approximately 5-10 hours per month. A managing editor may require some additional time during the early phases of site development.
Please note that the minimum requirements for consideration is a graduate degree in a field related to depth psychotherapy and prior experience practicing as a depth psychotherapist. Special consideration is given to applications demonstrating strong clinical experience and some background in academia. However, applicants will be considered without an academic background. Applicants without clinical experience will not be considered. Being currently involved in a clinical practice is strongly preferred.
Thank you for your interest in the Depth Psychotherapy Network!
