About the Site

        The Depth Psychotherapy Network website was created as a free resource for consumers of mental health (clients, therapeuts, patients, etc.), students, and professionals (therapists, counselors, analysts, etc.). The desire is to help both consumers and professionals better understand what is depth psychotherapy. The website has been constructed as a collaboration effort of several depth psychotherapy practitioners and scholars.

    Consumers will find resources for therapist referrals and referral resources, information about different types of depth psychotherapy, and an overview of the distinctions between depth psychotherapy and other forms of therapy and counseling. The developers of this site will continue to expanding a wide-range of resources over time, so you may want to keep checking back.

    The students homepage includes links to training programs, advantages of different degree tracks, recommended reading lists, and helpful suggestions on becoming a depth psychotherapist. If you are not yet a student, but considering a career in the field, you will find a range of resources from professionals and current students to help you determine if this is the career for you. Students may also want to check out some of the resources on the professionals page.

    Professionals, too, will find a range or resources available. Additionally, information on how to contribute to this website or have your practice listed is available inside. Resources for ongoing training in depth psychotherapy, CEU opportunities, and other resources will also be available through this site.
